ACTJCL Membership
Membership of the ACT Junior Chess League - How does it work?

ACT Junior Chess League Membership costs $15 for one child, or $20 for a family, for one calendar year (1 January to 31 December). Membership reduces to $10 and $15 respectively on 1 July of each year.

Although membership is not necessary to play in our weekend tournaments at Campbell High School, one of the major benefits of joining is lower entry fees. The current saving is $5 for a one-day tournament, while higher savings apply to two and three-day tournaments. Becoming a member offers a saving to any child who plays in more than three single-day weekend tournaments.

Membership of the ACTJCL also entitles juniors to play in two ACT Chess Association (ACTCA) open events per year without having to join the ACTCA. These events include the ACT Lightning Championship, Doeberl Cup, ACT Championship, ANU Open, Vikings Weekender and the ACT Rapidplay Championship.

But perhaps most importantly, membership supports ACT Junior Chess by helping to fund equipment purchases and subsidised junior training activities each year.
